Our story
We make gear for the quiet game.
Padel equipment designed in Stockholm, built for players who let their game speak.
Chapter I — Origin
A small studio with a long obsession.
Padeluxe began the way most good things begin — with a quiet frustration. Our founder, a former competitive padel player, was tired of the loud branding and louder marketing that dominated court sports. Every racket promised more power. Every shirt promised more freedom. Nothing felt like it was made for people who actually played.
So we started making the gear we wanted to carry to the court. Not faster, not louder — just better. The kind of equipment that earns its place in your bag, then quietly stays there for years.
Today, Padeluxe is a small team of players and designers based in Stockholm. We work with material scientists in Portugal, hand-finishers in Italy, and a small carbon-fibre workshop outside Lyon. Every piece we make is built to be used for a decade, not a season.
We don't think of ourselves as a brand. We think of ourselves as a small group of people who happen to make things.
Founder's note — Stockholm, 2024
There's a difference between a product and a tool. A product is designed to be bought. A tool is designed to be used.
Every Padeluxe racket starts as a sheet of aerospace-grade carbon. It is laid up by hand, cured under pressure, and finished one piece at a time. The throat is CNC-machined to a tolerance of 0.1mm. The grip is wrapped, sanded, and wrapped again. By the time a racket leaves the workshop, it has been touched by seven different pairs of hands.
This is slower than it needs to be. It is also more expensive than it needs to be. We accept both, because the alternative — making something disposable — isn't interesting to us.
Chapter II — Craft
Tools, not products.
Built to be used for a decade. Built to feel right from the first swing.
Chapter III — Sustainability
The honest version of sustainable.
We don't have a sustainability marketing department, because we don't have a marketing department. Here is what we actually do, and what we don't.
Our packaging is 100% recycled cardboard, printed with vegetable inks. Our shipping is carbon-offset through a verified Gold Standard programme. Our apparel cotton is GOTS-certified organic. Our carbon fibre is — and we want to be honest about this — not yet recycled. The technology to recycle aerospace carbon doesn't meaningfully exist yet. When it does, we'll use it.
We don't claim to be a sustainable brand. We claim to be making the most honest version of an inherently extractive industry.
What we believe
Five things we believe.
- I.Good equipment is invisible during use.
- II.The best brand is one you forget you bought from.
- III.Players deserve better than the marketing they’re given.
- IV.Making things slowly is not a virtue. Making them well is.
- V.Quiet is a discipline, not a style.
